Costs & Fees

Speaking, event, and consulting fees are a primary source of funding for the Pink Triangle Legacies Project's work. When you book the PTL Project, you're not only bringing educational programming to your community. You're also investing in our initiatives that provide paid internships to young people and create resources for classrooms and community spaces.

Fees are based on a sliding scale. The PTL Project is happy to work with you to identify a fee amount that works for your organization's budget.

In addition to the fee, hosting organizations also financially sponsor in-person events by paying for travel and lodging.

Pink Triangle Legacies:
Holocaust Memory and the Fight for LGBTQ+ Rights

Multimedia Presentation & Book Signing
In person or digital
Length: 40 minutes + Q&A + book signing

This presentation tells the dynamic and inspiring history of the LGBTQ+ community's original pride symbol by tracing the transformation of the pink triangle from a Nazi concentration camp badge into a widespread emblem of queer liberation, community, and pride. Drawing from unexplored archival sources and original interviews, historian Dr. Jake Newsome showcases the voices of LGBTQ+ Holocaust victims and a rich tapestry of queer lives who found meaning in the pink triangle in a post-Holocaust world. The presentation is followed by Q&A and a book signing.

Enemies of the State:
The Nazi Persecution of LGBTQ+ People

Multimedia Presentation & Book Signing
In person or digital
Length: 40 minutes + Q&A + book signing

Drawing on archival material, this presentation sketches the lived experiences of members of the German LGBTQ+ community under Nazi rule. In doing so, it untangles the complex motivations that convinced Nazi leaders that combating homosexuality was vital to the success of the Third Reich. The result was the destruction of the vibrant LGBTQ+ communities that had emerged during the Weimar years, and the targeting, torture, and murder of tens of thousands of gay Germans. And while the Holocaust ended with the defeat of Nazi Germany in May 1945, gay survivors soon learned that the era of state sanctioned persecution was not over. The presentation is followed by Q&A and a book signing.

Our Work Has Been Featured In

As the parent of a transgender daughter, it's wonderful to see someone from a small rural town coming back to bring awareness about LGBTQ+ history and issues. Young people here need to see someone with a voice speaking up. Thanks for all you're doing.
