This teacher professional development workshop will be on-site at the Museum’s satellite location: Experience360, located at 360 N. State St. in Chicago.
For educators teaching grades 7-12.
Discover how one of history’s most powerful symbols became a dynamic emblem of resistance, remembrance, and LGBTQ+ pride. In this interactive training, educators will learn how to bring LGBTQ+ history into the classroom through the lens of the pink triangle, tracing its journey from a Nazi badge of shame to a symbol of empowerment reclaimed by the LGBTQ+ community.
Led by experts from the Pink Triangle Legacies Project, including Dr. Jake Desai-Newsome and Sam Ellyson, this workshop will equip participants with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to teach this often-overlooked history.
